    My name is Charlie Wells. I am the owner and only inspector for Piedmont Home Inspection. I have been a home inspector for almost 4 years after over 22 years in the corporate world. Being a home owner myself, I had seen the wide range of home inspection reports provided by others in this field and decided "I can do a better job than that!"

    Some home inspection reports look impressive by their volume of pages but lack the details needed for you to really "Know Your Home"  Others are thin and are filled out by check boxes. Some won't meet the minimum "Standards of Practice" required by law in the Carolinas

    If you allow Piedmont Home Inspection to assist you with your home buying or selling needs, your home inspection will be my priority. The inspection requires time, 2-4 hours on average to complete a thorough evaluation of the home. The written report requires another 1-2 hours to present it in a manner that is complete, accurate, and easy to understand. You can find some inspectors who might be quicker but this is YOUR home and I'll take whatever time is necessary to do the job you expect. Home inspections aren't cheap! Yes, you can find some for less money but a home is one of the largest purchases you'll make.
